Of Crystals, Conquests and Artifacts.

"And when the Great Heresy tore the world asunder, The Jenda exerted Her divine power, as to preserve the lands She loved, and the people She watched over.
Yet so dire was the Heresy that even the Goddess exhausted herself, and fell into a deep slumber.
And the Goddess dreamed.
In the first cycle, She dreamed of fertile lands, as they were before the world was torn. And in Her dream, Her divine radiance fell upon the fragmented world below. Where it reached the land, spires and shards of pure crystal sprung from the dead soil, and began to form the land around them to Her whim: sometimes at glacial pace, sometimes with cataclysmic speed, but always with juggernautean certainty.
And the Goddess dreamed.
In the second cycle, She dreamed of strife and conquest in Her sacred name, and rain like blood and fire fell upon the land. And pools formed from the storm of dreamed war, hardening into perfect circles of polished stone, imbued with the power to react to the spark in the souls of those who fight in Her sacred Name. Those powerful relics of Her dream are now called Points of Control,
And the Goddess dreamed.
In the third cycle, She dreamed of wealth and splendor. And the adamantine light of her blessed vision fell upon the land, coalescing into tetrahedral motes of benevolence. Whoever can find one of those blessed gems, sparkling with golden, divine light, shall be blessed with a fragment of Her dream.
And the Goddess awoke, and the Stasis of the world was broken"

Stargazers - "Stars Above, Truth Within"
Of all the factions, none resembles a religion more than the Stargazers. Led by an ancient codex know as "The Remembrance of the Guardians", the Stargazers follow a fixed schedule of rituals for any occasion - be it birth, death, peace or war. The core of their faith is the believe that one day - "When the Stars are right" - the guardians will return to reform the world and punish the infidels - anyone that doesn't live by the rules of the Remembrance.
Until then, the Stargazers will wait, and pray, and wait, and preach...
Goals: Preservation, Ascension
Traits: Conservative, Superstitious, Zealous

Indicium - "Pursuers of forgotten Truth"
Formed from Individuals who awoke from Stasis with the faintest memory - or fantasy - of the splendor of the pre-fractured World, Indicium seeks to restore or re-discover the advanced knowledge, technology and power the Guardians once held - the power that both doomed the world before and ensured their survival. While they at times share or trade their findings with others, they are generally rather secretive concerning their plans and discoveries.
Rumor has it that they work on a way to re-unite the Fragments.
Goals: Restoration, Progress, Discovery
Traits: Studious, Patient, Secretive
Cavaliers - "Chosen by Destiny"
The Cavaliers are a faction united by the idea of Nobility - more precisely, the idea of 'being' the Nobility. As such, they closely follow their code of Honor and Conduct, but also strife to re-assume their rightful position: that is, as ruling group of the Fragments.
Goals: Preservation, Dominance
Traits: Honorable, Stalwart, Haughty.

Ravagers - "Immortal Glory through Battle"
The Ravagers are a faction united by "The Voice of Fire", an ancient codex of valor and battle that somehow survived the Fracturing and the Stasis within their minds. Following this, they believe that glory through combat is all that matters in a world as torn and shattered as this, and will tirelessly struggle to achieve such honors. It is said that the soul-sparks of the Ravagers burn brighter than those of others, and that their death - and a death in glorious combat is the final, highest form of honor they seek - results in a blaze that etches the Ravagers deeds and name deeply into the very fabric of the world, never to be forgotten or erased.
Goals: Glory, Domination
Traits: Valiant, Reckless, Stubborn
